Have trashed prefs several times.

I have used the PT Prefs Helper.

Repaired Permissions.

Umount all the disks, trash the prefs.

Then 1) try creating a session just using the internal drive and all the other drives unmounted. (you won't run this way, strictly a trouble shooting technique I use as I sometimes run with 8 drives and need to find which one is failing)....

Then 2) Bring one of other drives up and try again.

Sorry if this was mentioned... Kill the video engine (don't use it) in prefs. And see if that helps.

No apologies needed. Appreciate anything.
Windows has the video engine off by default.
So I just looked in prefs and see this is enabled. Will try now.
Thanks.

When you have activity monitor opened. You load a new session. And you hit play it immediately goes to 9073? If so, what happens in your pro tools activity window? You can use QuickTime to take a a quick screen grab movie. Is this a cheese grater like mine or the newer trash can body?

Thank you Sir. Got something going now.

I copied the session from my Pro Tools Session Drive to my Macintosh HD System Drive Desktop.

Open Pro Tools ran the session with no Problems.... YES... I am not CRAZY I AM NOT CRAZY>>>>>>>>>

So does this mean this WD Caviar BLACK 1 TB hard drive is bad?

Could there be a setting in the BIOS that is not allowing the data to transfer from one drive to the other fast?

Thank you.

Right PC slip.

I mean some configuration setting that would hinder or allow for faster transfer of data between drive.

Not RAID.
