There's been something witchy going on with the last couple of versions of Firefox on the Mac. Some days things will work okay on a website and some days it's problems galore. I'm guessing it may be a Flash issue. That, and the laziness of website developers making sure their sites work across ALL browsers. But with the way Mozilla is coming out with new versions of FF it's a nightmare.

Usually Safari has been working okay.

I´ve tried with several browsers. The main issue is that I can´t start protools though. I have a job tonight. this is a catastrophy.

Do you have another iLok to try?
Are you behind a software firewall? - That will mess things up, as will any anti-virus software.

I could get a ProTools 9 ilok but the projects are in ptx. This is great, just GREAT.

No anti virus software installed. I guess my router has a hardware firewall but they all have that.

I have a second ilok now but as the faulty one is not recognized I can´t move the license onto the other one. Has anyone tried that ZeroDowntime? Does it immediately give you those licenses?

I just ordered the zero downtime so I can download those 14 days licenses to use this afternoon.

I can´t believe what I´m reading. There´s a one week "cool off" period. If I want those licenses right now, I would have to pay another 100$ expediency fee.

This is unbelievable. I can´t say how pissed off I am right now. This is fraud and nothing else.

So you just ordered "Zero Downtime" after the fact that your iLok became non-functional? Sounds like you are in the category of the second bullet point... That SUCKS. If I had a session and a truck ran over my iLok I would gladly pay the $100 to get up and running...
  • If your iLok is covered under Zero Downtime™, you will receive temporary time limited licenses automatically as part of the RMA process.
  • If your iLok is NOT covered under Zero Downtime™ but you want to receive temporary licenses, you may pay an extra fee to purchase Zero Downtime™ coverage. Note that you may only purchase Zero Downtime™ for iLoks that have been synchronized with iLok.com.
  • Some temporary licenses might not be available, based on the software vendors' technical or business requirements.

Not fraud; that's just how the system works. It pays to do your homework ahead of time so you don't run into these 'last minute' problems. Also sometimes called having insurance to cover a loss beforehand. You can't drive around uninsured, have an accident and THEN purchase an insurance policy to cover your losses. System just doesn't work like that.
