Stop Artist Mix following every move in pro tools

I recently upgraded to an M1max mac studio from a 2013 trash can. Ive got everything working smoothly except one thing:

The artist mix is tracking a lot of what im doing with the mouse. When I click on various track names the artist mix selection button follows this, it will switch from pan to insert mode, etc. On my old rig the Artist mix functions and pro tools basically operated independent of each other. When Im quickly moving through waveforms with keyboard shortcuts the control surface is basically flashing like police lights because its select buttons, track name underline, and mode buttons are all changing. Id like the surface to just stay put on pan mode and not do anything until I touch the surface. I feel like Ive tried all the options in Eucontrol, but obviously I havent. Any ideas?

I have every option deselected in the Attention section
