Can't start new session "Do not have appropriate access privelages (-5000)"

Hello Avid community. I decided to get back to pro tools after not using PT for 7 or 8 years.

Just bought Pro Tools 11 (notHD), installation and ilok authorization went smooth, but when I try to open a new session I'm told i dont have appropriate access privileges(-5000) to complete Open session.

I've done all research here, and other forums, and tried a few suggestions:

-Removed all previously used plugins
-Changed all privileges to "Read & Write" in the 'info' window
-trashed the "Authorization Preferences" folder from library

None of this worked. Anyone else have suggestions?

I'm a little frustrated as I haven't been able to open my first session ever, and also a little pressured as I have a song writing session booked in 2 days and was planning on using PT exclusively.

I'm on OSX 10.7.3

-5000 is OSX's: you do not have permission to do this error

what drive are you trying to use

Try Batchmod on the drive/folder and apply to all inside http://download.cnet.com/BatChmod/30...8_4-19574.html
it is more reliable than the finder method
