Default adding audience tracks to create faux 5.1 mix

I'm working on a DVD whose audio tracks have been mixed to stereo. The video is being edited in Final Cut Pro. I now need to create a 'faux' 5.1 mix by adding just the audience tracks to the rear channels. I have those audience tracks as Pro Tools files. The tracks that comprise the DVD are from two different performances and the song sequence is completely different from the original performance.

What's the easiest way to lock up the audience tracks with the stereo mix? Final Cut Pro can export the stereo audio as an OMF file and I could then use Digitranslator to import into ProTools, but apparently the original time stamp is not maintained so I'm not sure that buys me anything.

Any ideas?

Thanks
