Default hard and soft requirements for new Mbox?

I'm going to buy the new Mbox. I had a G4 with my old PT Mix setup, but for cost reasons, I will go with a PC for the Mbox. Where can I find info on the software and hardware requirements?

Thanks

Greg Frey

Greg,

Today it's hard to get a computer that won't be powerful enough, however there are some guidelines to follow. I'm assuming the reason you're wanting to get a PC machine instead of Mac is the cost, yes? Are you wanting a desktop or a laptop? Will this be solely for music recording or are you hoping to use that computer for other things such as email, internet, etc? Is this for hobby and personal enjoyment, or do you need to use it for professional/paying work?

Brad

Yep, cost. Desktop, not laptop. The setup is for the lead singer/songwriter of the band I manage. So it needs to be reliable, fast, little latency, fun to work on (good plug ins) and for the files to be transferable to an HD system. I'm sure he'll use the PC for email, Facebook and photoshop as well as PT.

Recommendations? Suggestions?

Greg
