Logic with digi001?

Hi everyone.
just a simple question: is it actually possible to use Logic audio with the digi001 hardware on the PC( and more generally, is Direct I/O PC compatible)?
I'm particularly interested in using the exs24 soft sampler within logic as I'm now pretty sure that directconnect will remain a dream for Digi PC users. My current OS is Windows98Se.

Yes it is VERY possible. Logic uses the 001 via direct i/o. latest version of logic shouldnt require any special drivers to work with the digi001. But!, do not install logic with the file cache option and i that other option for the exs to handle large sample sizes. It will ask you during install and dont select either. It causes protools to lock up and the only remedy I found was to reinstall windows. reinstalling protools did not help. Ounce you do get going, its very cool. the sampler is awesome.

just so u know....u won't be able to use the midi in and out on the digi interface as it causes an error in Logic which means u will need to buy another interface just so u can do midi....also if you are using any soft synths like Reason and Native instruments...u will likely run into problems,( Audio preference will not list the digi001...which means u will need another card so u play softsytnhs).........i got mine last week....going to return it today.....not worth the money..IMO
