Default PT 6.1 Plug-in updates

Are 6.0 compatible plug-ins also compatible with 6.1? Or do we need to wait for third-parties to update before we install the 6.1 update? Thanks

Also, when starting PT, I keep getting 'Critical Error, illegal/expired software version found' messages for my Logic EXS and ESB TDM plug-ins which are both properly authorized and my Logic USB key is present.

You may need to do two things. Go to emagic's
downloads and update logic for OSX and also go to digi
and update your DAE. This will cure your error
messages.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">I'm running ProTools 6.1 with the latest DAE on a seperate drive from my OS 9 stuff, and on my OSX drive I have the latest Logic 6.1 and the latest Digi core driver 1.2. The EXS and ESB plug-ins are version 2 (the latest I think). I'm beginning to think it might have something to do with an expiring demo of the EPIC stuff which I never installed. Do you know something I don't?

Thanks,
sm

Hey Paul,

You were completely right. On the Emagic support page there is an update for the EXS/ESB plug-ins to 2.0.1. Problem is sorted, me likey.

Thanks,
sm

The ProTools 6.1 installer nuked my iLok authorized Broadband Noise Reduction-AS plug-in and replaced with Broadband Noise Reduction-LE which is not authorized with my DINR iLok asset.

Also, when starting PT, I keep getting 'Critical Error, illegal/expired software version found' messages for my Logic EXS and ESB TDM plug-ins which are both properly authorized and my Logic USB key is present.

Do you have to have a ReWire application to see the ReWire plug-in?

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">This is mentioned on the download page under "Digidesign Plug-ins Updates:

It was actually reading this that made me hold off on upgrading until I find out what other plug-ins may be affected.
