Default 6.01 installation fails at end... disk full message??

Hi

I have tried to install the update 6 times, and downloaded the files 4 times. I have about 1.5 GB left on the hard drive, I have changed prefs for the privileges on the disk, done everything, but it WON'T install. It reaches the end of the installation and then says the disk was full so the READ ME file couldn't be installed, and the installer quits... I installed the CORE AUDIO drivers first. Was that a mistake? I wanted to use them with Cubase SX.

I am at wit's end. any advice???

cheers/hälsningar
