Default This would be cool, WHO\'S WITH ME :)

We got some pretty darn good drum samples now a days. I ordered Superdrums 8000 from a company and there's some pretty amazing stuff on there. Everyone knows that no matter you do, it'll never sound like real drums. I prefer a real drummer, who wouldn't, but for the purpose of writting, it's not always possible.

So here's my idea:

A plug-in or program that emulates OH mics, room mics, instruments bleeding into other mics, anykind of ambient mic, etc.. It could take the .wav files and create another track combining elements of all of that and twist it into those type of sounds. If I knew how to do computer programming, I'd try it out.

Whatta think?

Its been done.

The Ross Garfield Drums include seperate ambience samples, and the Drum Kit From Hell actually simulates everything you've said, AND the switching of hands etc.

I'm sure there are others. I've been making my own samples this way since 1997.

BFD drums does that. I run it on a stand alone pc and treat it like a midi tone module and patch it into my HD3 rig.
