Clear Unused regions

When is Avid going to fix the clearing unused region command? This has not worked correctly for years. The procedure is select unused regions, delete unused, close session, open session, select unused regions, delete unused regions and you're done. Why the extra step of closing and opening the same session?

Yes! I haven't even bothered moaing about this one before but it's been broken for years. (Maybe when region groups came in?)

such an old issue. Sometimes I think I justify it by clip groups containing clips that won't clear until the groups are cleared. However, I don't think that's the only thing that triggers it.

I typically clear unused clips before doing a save copy in, so my work around has just been to use the "Export selected tracks as session" option (which is one of my favorite additions to PT in a LOOOOONG time). Can't tell you the last time I had to use the clear clips feature.

Maybe this is related to the undo function. In fact when reopening a session the undo actions are not longer available, then the unused selection clip action will include more clips. Just my thought
