add me to the list- Tiger/PT won't open

seems to be going around.
I just installed Tiger (10.4.1) on my laptop (Powerbook G4 667). ProTools attempts to open but crashes before getting there. I've tried ALL of the above troubleshooting suggestions.(unable to trash each of the prefs listed due to the fact that some prefs didn't exist)Any help would be greatly appreciated

(thankfully my laptop is the "guinea pig". No Tiger for the G5 until I see it working)

I forgot to mention...
I've tried the "Clean" uninstall but it says some files couldn't be removed. When I reinstall, PT does NOT ask for my install code.is this relevant?

Have you tried pulling all your 3rd party plugs out of the plug-ins folder? Can you tell at what point during the launch it's crashing? i.e. loading DAE, loading plugs....

Are you using 6.9.2? That's the only one that's supposed to support Tiger.

yes it's 6.9.2.
No I haven't tried pulling all 3rd party plugs (should I?). I ran the plug validator and the only offender was "Tube" (antares). I pulled it out. I was hoping that was the problem because PT loads pretty far (through "SampleTank") and then stops.(does that mean plugs through the letter "S" are okay?)

also....any thoughts about after a "clean" uninstall, PT not requiring the digi code upon reinstallation?

Remove all 3rd party plug-ins and install the latest Pace drivers available at www.paceap.com.

Also repair permissions on your main hard drive using the OSX Disk Utility.

If all else fails, create a new admin account, sign in under it and try everything again.

I installed the updated pace drivers and removed all 3rd party plugs.....and ProTools opened like a charm
After replacing one plug at a time until PT stopped working, the winner (loser) is:

SampleTank2
(some old unused free trial SampleTank2 that IK gave me long ago).

Interestingly, all of my other IK plugs (Amplitube, T Racks, and SampleTank) work properly.
