How to have DVDRW inside the studio while Mac out
Hi guys,
I'm sure someone has solved this puzzle already. I want to put my noisy G4 outside the control room but want to keep easy access to CD or DVD bays. A can do it with an external drive and a long firewire cable but... is this possible? Is there any other way? thanks, as usual. |

1. Cut a hole in the wall
or 2. Have an operation to extend your arms to 20 feet long. |

32 foot firewire cable out of the firewire 400 port on my G5. Actually I have G5 firewire port to hub, hub to DV Deck and Hard Drives in machine room and 32 foot cable from hub to AIT2 and CDR in Control Room: totally works. It was flaky on my G4 Quicksilver.
