Small details is what makes the difference...

The Seagate top plate is aluminum, the Toshiba is all plastic, that could be a plus in warm environments, but that could be bad if drive slips trips and falls into the floor.
Home Depot(and the like) have small rubber stick-on feet in the hardware department.

Seagate led does not turn-off when HDD is resting...
Bummer...
Toshiba led is far more advanced "smart".
the punch line... Seagate is slower "average and minimum", not much but enough to freak out LOL. Jajajajajajaja

The only problem with Toshiba is that contains lead, Seems they are old stock/overstock, repackaged.
Similar to Yamaha plg150-an/dx cards and Yamaha an200 or dx200 groove boxes.
or Roland mmp-2 and the Roland vs8f-2/3 expansion card.

That a piece of electronics contains lead isn't really a problem unless you're getting weirdly intimate with it or soldering it and even then the occasional exposure isn't something to worry about. Rohs compliance has only been an item for about a decade.

There's more of an issue with the tin/lead solder replacement brought about by Rohs compliance. If a solder job is not done right and cleaned up afterwards there are microscopic 'fingers/hairs' that can grow from one pc trace to another and cause unexpected pathways.

Soldering lead in a confined space, like a submarine, could lead to all different kind of medical problems. This could explain a lot.

When I first saw this thread I thought it was a rant against yet another boy band :)

Yep, months ago. And if you had a Windows Phone (or maybe they expanded that to any phone) you got to keep your bonus camera roll 15GB's

Plus they gave a free year a Office 365 and 1TB storage to make up for handling the situation wrong.

OneDrive has terribly inefficient syncing, imo.

Lots of CPU thrashing vs. DropBox - but it is a good value.
