Default Pt 10 Demo - unable to locate hardware...

Ok, I want to demo PT 10. My previous version was 6. I have a registered iLok and have the "Pro Tools 10 Digidesign Trial" registered on my iLok account, When I try to load PT, I get the message "unable to locate hardware" and I have to cancel the process. I thought that PT 10 could be used with out hardware and that all I needed was the iLok? Am I wrong? I actually don't need any hardware for my intended use of the product.

Any ideas what is or I have done wrong?

Thanks, Barton
