Default "CPU overload" error on new 27'' 4 core IMacs?

I upgraded to a new IMac 27'', 10.6 OS, 4 core, i5, 4GB ram computer with PT LE 8.03 and I use the Mbox2 pro. I'd say it works OK so far but....I was under the impression that getting a way more powerful computer would stop error messages like "CPU overload......blah, blah" from happening so much. I'm only using like 5 plug ins (all PT plug-ins as well by the way...)currently and the system usage window shows only about 9% CPU(RTAS) usage and like 4% Disk usage. I used to get those messages on my older IMac which was a dual core, 2Gb ram computer with PT 7.4. Was I wrong to assume that this wouldn't be so much of an issue?
I changed the playback engine from 4 processors to 2 and now on 3 with the 512 samples and 85% CPU usage limit and I still get those messages. Not a lot but enough times to question why when I'm not using that many plug ins. I thought with this new computer that this would be the least of my issues. I'm using ones like transfuser, velvet, hybrid, xpand2, vacuum. Anyone else have this issue or any ideas what to do or change?

Your symptoms are indicative of incompatible plugin versions.

Make sure ALL plugins are compatible. It does not matter if you are using the plugins or not, if they are incompatible and are in the "Plugins" folder they can cause errors..

You are also leaving out important info: 10.6.x.. What version of SL?

What is the actual error message? blah blah does not help at all..

Your processor usage should be 3 processors, 99%. See this thread to read why:http://duc.digidesign.com/showthread.php?t=227746

I get the error message: You are running out of CPU power. Remove some RTAS plug-ins or increase the CPU Usage Limit in the Playback engine dialog (-9128). I'm running 10.6.2, 2.66ghz intel core. I went to 99% on cpu usage as well and I get the same thing. I guess i'll have to check out my plug ins then to make sure of that next...

How can one tell if their plug ins are incompatible?
