Default very basic OMF question

Excuse my ignorance -- I know nothing about OMF. Do I need to buy DigiTranslator in order to export a PT file as OMF?

Yes, DigiTranslator is required to import or export OMF files in Pro Tools.

Hi,

Install it and it will run as demo for i think 28 days or maybe 14. but check it works with the app you're sending to.

great how the very people who develop OMF make you pay for it, and yet its included in nuendo etc etc...

.... yup - i find that embarassing too! at least they should package it with a useful plugin or an OMF-coffe-cup.

hah,

dont get me wrong. i use omf all the time. it works well - just a little miffed i had to buy it to supply omfs for my business partner who gets it for free!
