Post PT 10 w/ MBOX?

I am watching AES live right now, and they announced a $299 upgrade price. Im using PT LE 8.0.5 with my Mbox 2 on a mac. Am i eligible for upgrade pricing, and will PT10 be compatible with my hardware?

I have the Mbox2 Factory myself and the LE to Protools 10 cross-grade in the UK is £348! Online retailers are selling off the LE to PT9 crossgrade for £162 so I'm pretty annoyed about that when I'm ditching my Powermac and getting a Mac Mini soon!

They seem to have deliberately restricted free updates for recent PT9 purchases to people who bought it before October and also excluded PT9 versions bought as a cross-grade from LE so it's £300+ no matter what.

When I went from OS9 to OSX, they only offered an expensive crossgrade from the then obsolete Audiomedia III card to a Digi002 so I had to shell out over £300 for the Mbox2 and luckily got a discount from the shop I bought it from and got the Factory version.

Considering I'm going to be spending around £500 for the Mac Mini and another £100 or so for 8Gb of 3rd party RAM and a FireWire case for my recording drive, it's going to be an expensive few months ahead but Lion support and all those new features looks worth it in the long-run.

i saw the prices this morning also. It's only a hundred dollars less than just buying the full version! Since PTLE 8.0.5 stopped supporting OSX after the new Lion update (10.7), i am forced to stick with Snow Leopard until i upgrade software. This is a really crappy deal, and i may as well wait until i get some better use out of my "rather new" Mbox 2.
