Default Keyboard Maestro functionality is broken with PT 2024

The new PT has seemingly broken the ability for Keyboard Maestro (and I'm assuming other similar software) from executing sub-menu commands. This really sucks for my workflow.

For instance, the Delete Fades command is technically the sub menu "Delete" under the menu item "Fades". I've used this with KM for years but now it doesn't work.

Is this a known issue? Any fixes? I seem to remember this being listed as an issue before PT was approved for Sonoma. But now that it is, I expected this bug to be worked out.

And yes, I'm using Sonoma.

This is macOS getting in the way.

Go to Privacy & Security > Accessibility. Remove Pro Tools and KM (the minus key at the bottom, not just turning the toggle switch), then hit the plus and add both back making sure the toggle switch is on.
(If you use Eucon/Eucontrol, also do the same for EuControl and MC_Client)
Then reboot the computer.

Thank you for this! I've been creating work arounds for this issue, but in my early testing this fixes the issue.

In your experience, once you have it working, does the solution stick and not recur?

The solution works but depends on Apple. I've noticed (since late last year) that any macOS updates will break this (like a macOS 14.4 upgrading to macOS 14.4.1)
So be prepared to do this again if you apply a system update (you should have automatic system updates turned off! That way you'll know when you do them, if anything.)
But the fix is good in any other circumstances (it's not going to stop working out of the blue.)

This is interesting. What behavior in EuCon does this fix? It seems that everyone in my company is having issues of some sort, unexplained so far.

Key commands. Anything in Eucon that uses a keyboard command (vs a Euconzied command)

MC Client makes keyboard commands (like Cmd+shift+R) sent from Eucontrol appear to the system like it is coming from a keyboard when allowed in Privacy & Security > Accessibility. (other programs do this too like Logitech Options to make mouse buttons send keyboard commands)

The problem is the toggle switch shows "allowed" for the programs (when they are installed and ask for to be allowed) but after one of these macOS updates, it appears those settings are being overwritten by the system. Removing and re-adding the program re-writes "allowing" the application.
For some reason, Eucontrol/MC Client are the main programs I've seen having this problem (Logitech and Wacom, for instance, still persist in working after macOS updates.) But KM seems to be another.

Sorry, just noticed you are using Apple's system-wide keyboard shortcut system. That's the not same as keyboard shortcut keys.

My guess is a conflict between Apple's keyboard shortcut system and Pro Tools in-built. Or it isn't allocated anymore. In Pro Tools, when you go to that drop down menu, do you see the assigned keyboard command to the right? And if you do, if you press the keys on your keyboard, does it work?

A better goal is to not use Apple's system and use only Pro Tools' system for the future.

There is no in-built shortcut for the "Delete" sub function under the Fades menu. That's what I've been using Keyboard Maestro for and would prefer to keep it that way.
