10.5.5 with Amplitube 2.1.2.b
Hi~ I have read some threads to understand that many people lower the number of CPUs used in the H/W setup in order to let some plug-ins run smoothly. However, I am just wondering if anyone so happens to know whether Amplitube 2.1.2.b works with OS 10.5.3 with the number of CPUs set to 4 in H/W setup with a PowerMac G5 Quad system.
I used to be able to run several Amplitubes in one session with 4 CPUs for RTAS, 256 buffer in Tiger, and I have only recently upgraded to Leopard and 10.5.4, and wasn't using any guitars in my first session... So... I have only found this problem with CPU spike and Amplitube 2. Setting the CPUs to 3 didn't do the trick as well... I had to lower it to 2 to run smoothly, but still not as smoothly as before. Any help would be great since I am thinking if I should take the trouble to downgrade to 10.5.3. Appreciate it~ |

Re: 10.5.5 with Amplitube 2.1.2.b
It might be another incompatible plug-in that's causing the CPU spikes (even if not instantiated). I'd check other third party (non Digirack) plug-ins for Leopard compatibility first.
