A few questions about re-wireing?
Ok, Im at the stage where im completing my composing setup. when I have the time I am going to do a complete system reboot so that I can sort things out a little better. I will be using some heavy VI's so have been doing a little research into how I can get the best work around. so far I have read that i can Buy VE Pro (which I can't afford) or use Reaper to rewire into PT.
That got me thinking about how re-wire works, is it possible to re-wire and other DAW into Pro Tools, why is it that I could'nt rewire cubase into Pro Tools? Are there any good work arounds around? |

Re: A few questions about re-wireing?
Reaper is another DAW and, since it is both a Rewire host AND a Rewire slave it can be Rewired into another program. IIRC Cubase, like Pro Tools, is only a Rewire host, so it can only host other programs, not be Rewired into other programs.
Cheers,
