DAE unable to communicate with hardware

I'm still getting this -6131 error quite frequently and have lost audio at times.
Does this have anything to do with buffers or maybe a hard drive.

I tried to close session and I get this error:
Could not complete the Close Session command because (-9161)

Then another error pops up:
" Bus error" in thread "MainThread", at address 0xbfffdb50

Then another error pops up:
The application Pro Tools HD 7.31 quit unexpectedly
Mac 0S X and other applications are not effected.
Click reopen to open the application again. Click report to see more details or send a report to Apple.


Anyone know what this means?

Please start with the steps in the OS X Setup and General Troubleshooting sticky at the top of this forum.

Are you sure about the -6131 error? I've not seen that before.

9161 could be a number of things - a bad flex cable, a bad card or possibly related to incompatible plug-ins. Are you using scrub or shuttle at all? Do you have Waves plug-ins installed? Are all your plug-ins the minimum versions required for Pro Tools 7 compatibility?
