Pro Tools 8 authorization after 9

When i crossgraded to PT9 and activated my ilok does it overwrite the PT8 authorization?
I want to go back to using 8

PT8 did not use iLok auths, it used your hardware to authorize the software. PT8 should still work with your hardware connected.

If you were using PT8 MPowered you would have surrendered your iLok license for it when you accepted your PT9 license.

If you were running LE, I guess it's like the previous poster indicated.

So ther is no way of retrieving my PTMP8 license back?

You're still not getting anywhere with your 2626? That's a shame man.

As far as I know, once you give it up, it's a done deal. You could try Avid support, but... I don't know anyone that has.

Might be worth checking eBay or something like that... I'm just throwing out ideas at this point.

Im just gunna have to hangfire with 9 and wait for an update that works for me.I had the same problem with PTMP 8.0.3, when I purchased it I had nothing but problems until somebody told me to try 8.0.......I did and it worked fine and had been using it until 9 came out.So im kinda gutted I updated now
