Default Drop Down Menu Glitch

Does anyone have this problem using pt 12.0 and 12.5?

When I insert a plugin through the dropdown menu it pops up the plugin ABOVE THE ONE I PICKED. This alway happens toward the bottom of this plugin list.

Check out THIS video to see what I mean. Very annoying.

Avid, Please fix!!!!

As you’ve described your problem succinctly, I don’t have to view the video in your link, to understand what you’re talking about.

I hope a Moderator or others can chime in to help you – especially if they’ve also experienced this – to escalate it for a fix ASAP.

Completely separate issue: I’d like to add a warning about Adobe Flash Player.
Your link invites one to “Install Adobe Flash Player to preview this video.”
Thought I should mention this current warning:

Wow. I didn't know that. I was just sending a link from my public Dropbox folder.

As I’m not sure – I’ll leave this question for others to answer.

I mentioned earlier that I feel you’ve described the situation very well – so you don’t have to include a video. It’s easy to understand: you’re getting the wrong Plug-In loading – you’re getting the Plug-In located above the one you selected. Most annoying!

Nevertheless, I Googled and found:

The updated features of the VLC player include Dropbox streaming without downloading files, according to:
http://www.cloudwards.net/news/vlc-a...e-access-2627/

Direct quote from the above link:

Probably the biggest news for the VLC interface is you can now stream your media files without having to download them to your phone or tablet. Thanks to the new updates, you can access your files from your Dropbox account and play them directly from your cloud storage. You can also access your Google Drive account directly from the VLC player; however, at this time you cannot stream directly from the Google Drive account. You will still have to download the files first.
The updated features of the VLC player include:
• Rewritten Wi-Fi upload
• Multi-track audio handling
• Ability to store FTP server bookmarks
• Dropbox streaming without downloading files
• Google Drive interface
• Support for more streaming formats and protocols
• New UI for iOS 7
• Better UPnP integration with download support
• Deinterlacing
• Repeated playback

I do have a question (as I don’t have Pro Tools 12 installed to test this myself):

Will your chosen Plug-In load correctly if you hold down SHIFT while you select it?
(Holding SHIFT loads Plug-In with its red Target button OFF)

Or does it still load the Plug-In situated “above the one you picked”?

Hello, is anyone there? Or better yet, can someone tell me how to use my support plan? After all, I did pay a PRETTY PENNY for it.

I've had this happen in the favorites plugin list but not the main plugin list. When it happens in the favorites list it's because a plugin saved to the favorite list is no longer available so selecting it actually loads the plugin listed next to it.
