why no stereo output

Something happened on my computer and i lost my sound….then i found that when i went to output, and switched to main, mono left or right, i would get sound…..but nothing when its on main stereo, why is this?

Do one of 2 things...

A. Go up to SETUP>Playback engine At the top is a drop down that you can select the device to use with Pro Tools... this should be MBox... If it is not, then select the MBox... click OK.. session will close and reopen using the MBox

B. When you first start/open pro tools hold down the N key until that same playback engine window opens up... select MBox from the drop down at the top

If it is selected on MBox you need to go up to SETUP>I/O and then under each tab (Input, output) click the DEFAULT button... this resets the I/O to the factory preset in your interface (the Mbox)
