Buffer settings for Mbox3?
I have a 002R and an Mbox 2
The lowest buffer I can select with the 002R is 64 samples. But the lowest available for the Mbox 2 is 128 samples. I'm assuming this is a USB restriction? I have a friend who wants to get an Mbox and Laptop, and one thing he wants to do is trigger drum software with his V-drums. 128 samples is too much latency for drumming, but 64 is workable. So I was wondering if the USB Mbox 3 units allow you to run a 64 sample buffer?

Re: Buffer settings for Mbox3?
They do if you're on a Mac. It's been that way for a while. Both firewire and USB interfaces will go down one more buffer size on a Mac than on Windows.
I have no idea why that is, but that's the case. |
