Default Click plug in is early when recorded

Has anybody tried this,

Make an aux and put an RTAS click plug in on the insert

Bus the click to an audio track and record the click.

When I do this the click is 1028 samples early to the grid location. I've tried with delay comp on or off and it doesn't make a difference, it is always early by the same amount.

Why is this?

What the H/W buffer size set to? Try setting it to 1024 or lower.

Have you tried the TDM click? Same story?

In my previous experiment the HW buffer was set to 256.

I changed to TDM click and it recorded the click in exactly the same place.

When I've printed clicks within PT, I've never seen it ahead of the grid. In fact, in my experience, it's extremely consistent in its placement right on the grid. That's puzzling that your machine is recording it in front of the grid.

Is Click the only plug-in in this session?

Yes, it's the only plug in. I made a test session with only the aux with plug in and then the various tracks I'm printing the click to.
