please HELP | Efficient way to do SPOKEN AUDIO CD
Hey all,
I'm hoping someone out there has some suggestions for an efficient way for me to record voiceover work in PT TDM 6.4.1. I am producing a Spoken Word Audio CD with 60 track marks (approx 60 min) I need to record approx 60 min of script reading, and drop CD track marks every minute or so on the fly , then export as 60 seperate CD audio tracks (for a 60 track Audio CD). #1. Is there a way to batch export (or bounce to disk) all of the seperate tracks with one command ??? i.e. and not bouncing each selection to disk one at a time (60 times) #2. Is there a way to assign "create memory location" command or drop a track marker to a MIDI key??? #3. Any other insight you can offer is certainly welcome. I've been a frequent reader and I occasionally post to this forum since 2001. This has always been a great community of engineers/producers and audio enthusiasts. Im really counting on you guys for some help. Thanks! Steve TDM6.4.1/MIX24/OSX/G4-450/MagnaExpChassis

Re: please HELP | Efficient way to do SPOKEN AUDIO CD
I have done similar tasks by dropping edits to create regions at the appropriate times then exporting the regions as files. If the CD is written with no pause between tracks it is typically seamless during playback, especially with spoken word where you can place your track breaks between words.

Soundforge 8 with CD architect built in. Does all of this. I WISH that PROTOOLS did it. But I love Protools for what it does.

Re: please HELP | Efficient way to do SPOKEN AUDIO CD
Steve ... This is fast ..
Record it in16 bit @ 44.1 ( obviously no conversion will be necessary later) Select your first area ( most likely between your first markers ) Select GAIN from the AudioSweet and process ( Takes a split second ... fast enough ? ) In your hard disk will be the first new audio file ... Ready to drag to your CD It will take just a few minutes to do all 60 takes. No bouncing what-so-ever. Every file will be numbered in order and will easily drag correctly to the CD Your will be able to spend your time picking your beginnings and endings and getting them artistically right. The last post mentioned cutting each spot and that's good to. It really marks your spot and it can be Undone too. That will help you time each spot perfectly. You may cut a Cd .. and after listening you may want to change one.. Those edit cuts will allow you to see exactly where you were. You could still do it the long way and make the extra cash. You will deserve it anyway for all the editing. (think about that !) Jon 58th Street Studio |
