OT: Born To Run - Snare Intro
There seems to be a pitch change on the snare from higher to lower after the second beat. How is this accomplished? Are tom's doubled over the snare? Are there bass notes behind the snare? How do you get that sound?

Re: OT: Born To Run - Snare Intro
I'de have to hear it again to tell, but what a classic song, both music and lyrics. I was in an arcade with pinball machines ringing everywhere when I first heard it (how many songs can you say that about?). Perfect setting really, and I knew it was great right then... It's also the first song I know that used a glockenspiel in a cool way.
Another classic on the album is 'Jungleland'. Very dated production now, but a truly great song. 'The poets down here don't write nothin at all.....they just stand back and let it all be.' One of many great lines. -rh
