Default match track in Import session data window issue

weird issue:

I receive a lot ADR from studios in Europe and a few of them cause an issue when trying to match tracks upon importing the ADR into a mix session.

They both have the identical track name, being sent from and imported into an English installed version of Pro Tools , but for some reason it mixes all the names up. Can not figure out why and wondering if anyone has come across this and knows of a solution?
manually selecting 20-50 tracks per session is becoming hell.

thanks!

Are the tracks the same format?

Mono matching stereo will not work, for example.

Can you ripple the incoming tracks as a workaround? Or are the tracks in your session and the incoming session noncontiguous?

If there are two tracks named similarly/with dup1 etc appended then Pt can get confused and mismatch track names.

Anymore info you can give on either session will help track down potential issues.

matching mono to mono and it's heavy dialog with multiple regions at specific timecode. There are no duplicates, similar or misspelled names.

if by "ripple" you mean shuffle mode, I can't move the regions as they are time specific.

No, ripple assign to tracks. If track 1 needs to match 1 and through to 50 then in import session data you can ripple the track assign by holding shift+alt+command while selecting the first destination track, the other tracks will then be assigned 1-50 (for example) like you were setting the outputs on the tracks themselves

unfortunately the sessions don't match that way. that defeats the whole purpose of match tracks. thanks though
