Default Re: Is anyone successfully locking HD or SYNC I/O to video ref?

Does the "lock" light come on, or is the "speed cal" light that's flashing?

Did you check termination?

No problems here...

It's solid for a minute or two, and then loses video ref. We checked the generator and the TC into a lynx and it resolves perfectly (no errors). We checked all the cables and such. Terminator on the video ref. Set to NTSC, 29.97 nd.

Digi said I should send back the SYNC I/O, but I want to make sure it's that box first, and not an inherent problem with HD, or something else I'm doing wrong.

Thanks.

Default Is anyone successfully locking HD or SYNC I/O to video ref?

I'm having trouble getting the video reference to lock with the sync I/O with Machine Control. We've narrowed it down to being the sync I/O at fault.

Digi is offering to replace it, but I'm wondering if people are able to lock video reference properly, cause we can't.

I know that sometimes the USD would spontaneously switch from NTSC to PAL mode and that would prevent lock to Video Ref. Have you checked that?

Turns out to be the sync generator on the 9K. It's just not very good. We swapped it with an outboard generator, and everything is happy.

Thanks for the responses.
