Question Cooler Master

Hey CW do you get a bunch of noise with your cooler master ???

I just got one (used) and the thing is massive, its the V8. iam not quite sure it will even fit into my case!!

but the one thing that was keeping me from installing it was the noise b/c im tracking in a "not so high quality booth" next to the computer.

No the noise isn't really an issue, but my video card and motherboard have had a disagreement and both have crapped out on me! I think the video card fried itself and the motherboard. Luckily I have a backup!

yeah i just went thru a issue with my o/s not booting recently.

How do you like your Saffire 56?

What samplerate do you use? How is the A/D conversion? Better than 003r? What is your expierence with that? I have been thinking about getting one.

Love it! I record at 44.1K 24-bit so there's no down conversion when burning to CD. Yes, I hear a definite improvement in sound quality over the 003 Rack+ and the Liquid channels are sweet!

I'm going to get one then.

Let me ask you a question you said you record @ 44 124 bit but you don't downconvert to 16-bit when you burn a CD?

From what I understand, the sample rate has to do with frequency content and the bit rate is more dynamic range, so it's not near as much of an issue going down from 24bit to 16bit - you aren't really losing sonic quality.

I think "Downconverting" was referring to sample rate only. Going to 16 bit would be best using dither(in case there was any confusion)
