MIDI Trouble - 002R and Yamaha Motif not talking to each other...
I'm trying to get back into my Digi 002R after taking a few years off to have some kids... Trying to dig into midi now, which I'll admit I know very little about.
I've seen a few other threads with this problem, but so far none of the fixes have worked for me. I'm using a 002R with PT Le v 7.0 on an old P4 machine running Windows XP Home Edition SP2 (yes, I need to do some upgrading, but one thing at a time). When I open a new session with midi tracks, I receive midi only when the input is set to all. If I try to add the Motif as an instrument in Midi Studio Setup, I lose the input. I can record, but I do not get any playback through the Motif. My bet is user error. I'm sure I've missed something in either the setup in PT Le or in the Motif. Anyone out there using the Yamaha Motif that might be willing to walk me through setting it up to talk to my 002R? Thank you all - Sean |
