Default DIGI002R Power Harness

Do all the DIGI002R units have a bad power harness? I'm expecting fedex to bring mine today, and was wondering if there is a check (serial number?) to see if mine was manufatured with a bad power harness. I assume it was a bad batch and the problem is fixed now, is that true?

I'm not sure it's as simple as a bad batch, and some people had trouble even after replacing the harness.

Uh oh! Sounds like good times ahead. No, really I guess i'll just cross my fingers. The 001 might make a good backup unit to keep around in case the 002r dies mid-session. A burned DVD of the session and a quick repatch and away we go.

i have had my 002r for about 14 months now and have had no problems i know of 4 other ones around here and only one of those had problems but it is older than mine. he didnt know what was up with it ignored it for awhile then his warranty was up. sent it to a place in dallas, he fixed the unit and shipped it in the same day. it was gone about 3 days total, but costed about 250-300 bucks somewhere. i havent heard any of the newer ones having problems, but who knows.....

I've read here on the DUC that Digi will handle power harness problems out of warranty for free. I'd call them first, even out of warranty.

Now...there is something to say about companies who'd do that !!
Looks good on you, Digi...
BTW, mine is 4 months old, no issues yet...

That's what companies do when they botch something simple, and are avoiding a recall of all units.

Makes sense, but..I've never heard of "recalls" in our industry
Not even the makers ( Frigidaire) of my fridge would do that...and believe me that box has been broken at least 8 times in 2 years..

cheers,
