What am i missing here?! Fades and overlapped regions not deleting

I use Pro Tools 5 days a week for my job as Game Sound Design Engineer and have been for about 5 years. This is the first time i have ran into this problem with my recent upgrade to 12.6.1 (previously on 11.3.1). Knowing my luck, its probably something simple I'm just not seeing in the menu options. When i over lap 2 regions, the region being overlapped is not cutting off, but rather living behind the 2nd region. In all versions previous, it would cut off at the overlap point, and allow me to pull it back out if needed. The second thing is when i select part of region that has a fade that i want to delete, instead of deleting the fade, it cuts the region and shifts the same fade to that new end point. Only way i can delete fades right now is in the edit menu. Any help would be appreciated with this.

I have the same issue with fade not deleting, and being recreated at the cut.

Multi-Layer Editing .. do you have it turned on ??

Same issue here, appeared with the 12.6.1. update.

Same thing happens here SOMETIMES, with multi layered editing on or off.
