did a clean uninstall and install. had one 9171 so far compared to 10 in a hour before.

I did repair permissions, but did not trash all prefs, which prefs are we talking about?

Ok did a clean uninstall/install and trashed the prefs and stuff with the tool from http://www.jcdeshaies.com/

have been running the full "trouble" session for a few hours now and finally no problems...phhhhhuuuuu... so far so good

When you guys uninstall PT prior to an update install. Do you then choose "Clean install" or "Safe install - leave some files"?
