Default Deleting fades

Hi

When I want to delete the fades - using the deletebutton - the audio is removed as well - leaving a blank space. When I use the command "delete fades" from the menu - the audio is still present. Why don't the delete button do the same thing?

Hope you are able to help

Thanks

GS

If you select just the fade before hitting the delete key.. then the fade (only) will be deleted.. if you select the audio region and the fade.. then the audio region and the fade will be deleted.

He means the audio underneath the fade. It's simple, delete means delete everything and delete fades means delete fades. got it?

No, what he means is that if any audio beyond the fade is highlighted, the audio and fade will be deleted. If only the area that is covered by a fade is highlighted then the audio stays, only the fade is deleted.

Double click within the fade and hit delete, no audio will be deleted, you dont have to use the menu, takes too long!!!!

Hello. The way I'm used to deleteing fades is by selecting them with the grabber tool. Since I have the smart tool set most of the time, I just reach over with the grabber and select it. Then, I just delete. Another way the smart tools helps with fades is you have the trimmer when you get close to the edges of the fades. That way you can trim the fade in or out.
