Default AudioMedia II problems ...

Greetings all!
First my system specs:
7100/66AV, 128MBRamAdded, OS 8.5

My problem:
I've installed an audiomedia II card and cannot get the card to work. I've tried most all the combos of DSI/DAE's and cannot even get the card to output alert sounds.

The only version of PT I've tried is 3.4. PT3.4 runs great, but only in Powermix mode. When I check the hardware settings, the Audiomedia card doesn't show up as an option.

I tried Deck 2.63 Demo w/ the recommended DAE/DSIs and got the "playback engine not initialized" error.

I ran DigiTest 2.1 & 2.3 and got "card failed Test 50" returned (what does that mean, anyway?)

Sooooo, I was hoping that someone within this forum could tell me a combination that should at least allow the card to output system alert sounds so I can be sure that this card is dead and move on to something else.

thanks,
kwigg22

The NuBus Compatibility page lists DAE/DSI 3.1.1 for the AMII card which can be found here.

Unfortunately, Error 50 in DigiTest indicates a DSP Reset Failure which typically means a hardware problem on the card.

Pro Tools 3.4 is a standalone (host) version of Pro Tools that doesn't use additional hardware, so it won't see the card.
