PT 11 only starts without ilok
Hi there,
This is my first post; apologies if it's not correctly formatted. I'm running PT11 on my laptop (Macbook Pro, OSX 10.9.5). If my ilok is plugged into my computer, Pro Tools will fail to start. I'll attempt to open the application, and it will stop responding and need to be force-quit. However, I'm able to start the application without the ilok, and insert the ilok upon being prompted to- then Pro Tools boots normally. This happens 9/10 times. The other 1/10 times, it still won't respond. But for the very most part this is a reliable way to open Pro Tools. This seems very odd to me. Has anybody else experienced this, or know of a way to eliminate it?

It was a normal download from the download link on my Avid master account.

The iLok is known to be iffy with the usb3 ports now on the MacBooks. Plug in a usb2 hub and plug in the iLok there.
