Sync'ing ProTools as slave with MTC

Hi All,

I'm a bit stuck with a synchronisation issue - I have and akai MPC4000 as the master clock source sending MTC and MMC to my pro tools setup via a RME UFX. I've got it half working in that the timing seems okay and it starts when i hit play/stop etc on the MPC but there are 2 major issues:
- hitting play on the MPC makes Pro Tools start at bar 43126 (regardless of whether i start the mpc at sequence 1 or sequence 70)
- if i have record mode engaged in Pro Tools (which is really the whole point of this exercise) hitting play on the MPC disengages it meaning that I can't record

Any ideas as to what I should be looking for? I'm sure I've had it working before but i've tried a number of different settings with no luck

You should check to make sure the offset in protools is set to bar 1 and 00.00.00.00, my guess is that its not.
I would suggest dropping protools into record once a lockup between the two has been achieved especially as its the slave.
