Re: Problem using bounce procedure
I don't think it means that you have to remove the plugins from Protools entirely, maybe you are using too many plugins in your session, more than your computer can manage...

Re: Problem using bounce procedure
11.2 introduced these problems on Macs. Try updating to 11.3. Otherwise you may have to roll back to 11.1.3.

Re: Problem using bounce procedure
just seconding what cygnusx said. i upgraded to 11 when 11.2.x was new, and had to move back to 11.1.3. now 11.3.1 seems to have corrected this problem, though it still has its share of bugs.

Re: Problem using bounce procedure
Try increasing your playback buffer to the highest setting, Setup - playback engine buffer 1024. It will give your system more room to breath and try the bounce again.

Re: Problem using bounce procedure
Iv'e had this problem every once in a while. Adding Buffer was not helping at all.
I usually run at 1024 buffer size anyway. I am on a new Mac Pro and also 64 GB of RAm. It's a 64 bit system anyway. I usually just close Protools and either restart or just relaunch Protools and it seems to fix it, whatever it is. Does not happen too much. I also have some occasional CPU spikes which I do the same procedure and it usually fixes the problem. I have also noticed if you try to do too many quick maneuvers within the program and then bouncing to disk sometimes seems to create the problem. NO IDEA why, but it my trick seems to fix issues like buffer. I would also trash old prefs occasionally as well. I don't see this too much. G

Re: Problem using bounce procedure
Are you by any chance running SansAmp in your session?

Re: Problem using bounce procedure
I have issues with Yosemite and pt 11.3.1 but bouncing is not one of them.
could be a plugin issue, perhaps try disabling all the plugins in the session and then bounce again if it bounces ok then the issue would point to plugins. |
