Default Automatic fade in and fade out occurring after recording

Hi DUC,

Strange problem that I hope is an easy fix (and yes I promise I read the manual first )

After recording audio, Protools automatically puts a fade in and fade out on every clip. I can't see where to turn this off and no other audio buddies/pals/nerds seem to have seen it before.

Anybody know?

Thank you!
-Andrew

Are you using HD or CPTK?

OK, right. I get it now.

So, since I nearly always have quickpunch enabled and 'QuickPunch/TrackPunch Crossfade Length' was set to 500 msecs it put fades on each end. Setting it to zero fixed this.

Good.

Makes no sense though.

Try it at 5ms instead of 0.
