That's one reason on the day after HS graduation, hitchhiking west out of Essex. Co (Soprano Country) with an acoustic guitar and knapsack seemed reasonable so long ago.

Reporting back now, unfortunately every state in the lower 48 has some real gems.

I wouldn't give up living in NJ (except for the current governor). I like people who say what's on their minds and don't sugarcoat things. We're not all rude - just straightforward.
