I can't believe I had to pay for 12 and can't even use it.
Do you have access to a Windows based 12.4/5 HD system to try to open that session on? It would be an interesting experiment.

Seems like no one's talking about how they're screwing over those with academic licenses... again. When 12.2 came out, all academic accounts were locked at 12.1 due to a "mistake" on Avid's part. I had to personally email Avid to get the download link for 12.4.

Now we're the only ones locked out of 12.5... shocker.

Got a weird problem. Upped to 12.5, no problem, seems to be running fine. When I try to create a Project, it says I've exceeded my project count and to delete existing project - which there aren't any of. Also, it shows "0/0 Projects" at the top of the Create dialog next to the "Type" selector. We're all supposed to get 2 free projects, right? Anybody else having this problem??

Thanks!

Yeah, I also believe they'll have to do the academic licenses manually again. Eager to download 12.5 so would be great if we could have some info about this!

Installed last night. Running great on my 2007 Mac Pro with upgraded Xeons.

I'm running Yosemite.

Never had that problem. 12.5 isn't showing in my app manager, but the download is available in my account when I log in. But previously, all updates were shown in my app manager up to 12.4.
