Default MBox2 Pro heavily distorted.

I have been working on a session for quite a while today. I left for lunch and left PT up and running. When I came back, the audio outputs of my MBox2 Pro are now heavily distorted. Both the line outs 1 and 2 and the headphone jacks on the front. Even iTunes is distorted without PT even running. I have trashed pref's and rebooted several times, but the sound is still distorted. What else can I try?

I am running PT 8.0.3 with OS 10.5.8.
