Default Adjusting tempo and it makes it out of sync!

Hello,

I have a quick question that is very frustrating to me.

I have a song with recorded regions in it. When I go to adjust the tempo earlier in the song, it shifts the whole grid over while leaving the audio regions in place. In other words, everything now is out time and out of sync.

All I want to do is adjust a tempo marking on the tempo track in a particular area and not have it affect any other measures but the ones that I am adjusting.

Am I missing something here?

Thanks!

That's exactly what I do, but the problem is that the timeline after my selection moves to accommodate the tempo change in my certain measures and the audio stays on the time line where it is. The MIDI files move with the tempo/timeline adjustments, but the audio regions just stay put making everything out of time.

I know that I can adjust ticks/samples in the MIDI tracks to have the MIDI files stay put with the audio (samples) or shift with the time line (samples). I need to basically do the same with audio.

I'm not talking about elastic audio. Just having the files move with the tempo change placement on the time line.

Is there a way to have the audio files move with the time line when I adjust tempo?

This is very frustrating.

Thanks in advance for any help.

I think you said it yourself.. Do the same thing with your audio tracks... Put them into ticks when you want them to move with changes to the tempo...

Like a rubber band, you pin down one end whilst moving the other end.
