Default PT9 / FW800 compatible analog/digital video conversion box?

I have a Mac Pro with 10.7.3 and PT 9.0.6. The Mac Pro doesn't have FW400. I have a Canopus ADVC110 with FW400 only.

PT9.0.6 does not recognize the Canopus using a FW400 to FW800 cable.

Does anyone know if PT9 requires a driver to recognize the Canopus?

Or are there video conversion boxes with FW800 that PT9 will recognize?
