Default 002 - headphone jack question...

Is it ok to use a headphone splitter Y adapter on the digi002 headphone monitoring jack?
(will just use 2 sets of cans from it), any loss of signal with this kinda setup or possibility of frying something in the 002?

or would it be smart to just go out and pay more for a headphone amp?
