clip time stamp - how to ensure its not offset?
hi! anyone know how to make sure clips are not offset to a odd # timestamp?
when i use other studio's computers, sometimes the clips are recorded correctly on screen, but embedded w/ timestamps that start 1000+ bars ahead of where they're really supposed to be. for example- current song i tracked at another studio has the Original and User time stamp of the first clip at 1669-5-082. in my session, same clip actually starts at 4-3-002 (which is correct for a song that begins at 1-1-000). but now, if i were to Spot it to original timestamp, it'll go 1665 bars away from where it's supposed to be which is useless. Im not sure how to make sure this doesn't happen before starting a session or how to fix it now. maybe it has something to do with the session start time in session setup? i just need a way to double check this before i start recording. I'm only doing music, no film or anything that would use an odd timecode or offset. ***OR- is there a way to update all the clip time stamps in my session so they take on the start/end time they're actually at currently? every clip is in order correctly, its just the embedded timecode that is messed up. i need it correct so i can Spot back to original timing for vocal comping. thanks!! |

Session set up menu, make sure there's not an offset.
