can i install both m powered and LE on the same cpu?

Hello,

Is it possible to install both m powered and LE on one laptop without one overwriting the other? i want to be able to run m powered with a firewire410 for remote rec and le for the studio using a 003 and not have to reinstall when i switch. thanks in advance...

How about setting up an 'MP' user and an 'LE' user in your accounts? Each would have its own prefs for the attached device and not become confused with anything else.

If you have all of your projects on an external drive, access would not be a problem. BTW, if you are using an external device, select it on your desktop and hit command-I (get Info). At the bottom left corner of the INFO window is a check-box labeled "Ignore ownership on this volume". Check this and close the window.

I v been using both LE and MP on the same laptop-
They both should be exactly the same version and you have to install LE first.
I have version 7.1.1, I wanted to upgrade but at Digi they told newer version do not support LE and MP together anymore-

yes you can use both but it beter to run only 1 version
